Engineering Program at University of Minnesota Duluth turns to Precast with PCI Foundation Help

During the PCI Convention, Ben Dymond Associate Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth and director of the Resilient Precast in the Engineering Curriculum Program shared the details of the PCI Foundation program at the school.

As an engineering program, it is not a tradition "studio" but instead they have in part imported a curriculum and starts with the top where students are introduced to concrete design in general, historically, that was all cast in place and throughout the four years, it's been very much, probably over 50% precast now, according to Dymond.
