had an amazing day yesterday with the professors from Washington University and the many local partners helping them create a precast concrete entry for for the solar decathlon. I also met some of students on the team. The project is headed up by Professor Hongxi Yin.

Partners from Dukane Precast, Gate Precast, Enterprise Precast and St. Louis Prestress are all providing part of the structure for the 800 sq. ft. home that will go up in Denver next fall. Thermomass is also supplying product. All of the partners are working together to help ensure the success of the program.
Washington University is one of 14 schools taking part in the decathlon.Once the competition is finished, the house will be rebuilt on campus as part of the International Center for Advanced Renewable Energy and Sustainability (I-CARES) on campus. It will be studied by groups of students from several colleges, including the business school and school of public health.
