One of the key elements in almost every Precast Studio we sponsor is the precast plant tour. It is on these tours that students, no matter which course of study they are undertaking, begin to understand the scope and size of precast concrete elements. And it is one of the important reasons the PCI Foundation requires each Studio to have a precast partner.
Recently, the architectural students from the University of Kentucky visited the Gate Plant in Winchester, Kentucky, and were able to share some of their thoughts about how they might use precast in the future.
