Silent Auction Plans Underway

The PCI Auction Committee has been hard at work preparing the September 21 Silent Auction called "Lasso the Future." Prizes have come in from several PCI Foundation supporters, both personal and corporate donors have been generously supporting the event, which is one of the highlights of the PCI Convention. "We thought it would be fun to take on a cowboy theme, to honor our Texas location," says Todd Adams of JVI, who is chairman of the event. "Because the PCI Foundation is striving to change the future of the precast industry by positively impacting what is taught at colleges and universities about our industry and materials, we chose the theme 'Lasso the Future.'"

In previous years, the JVI "Concrete Chef" package has been a popular auction item. Earlier this month, Bob Konoske of Coreslab had dinner for 8 friends prepared for him by concrete chefs Jim Voss and Chuck Magnesio of JVI.

Auction packages that will be included this year include an "On the Go" game collection full of fun toys and games for the car or to keep in the closet for visiting kids, Liebherr has donated one of its popular scale models, and MJS Management is making it possible to "KIck it Cowboy Style" in a pair of Lucchese boots). The full catalog will be available on the PCI Foundation website in August.

Right now, donations to the auction are being sought. To contribute, contact Marty McIntyre at the PCI Foundation,  or call (708) 386-3715.
