Great PCI Foundation Barbecue

Entries to the Great PCI Foundation Barbecue are coming in -- and it looks like several companies have some pretty great plans in place.

Gage Brothers In Sioux Falls South Dakota will be inviting customers and staff alike to come together to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the company. Gage Brothers kicked off a summer-long centennial anniversary celebration on June 17 with a “Top 100 Jobs” countdown, presenting via social media channels significant projects over its 100 years in concrete, primarily architectural and structural precast. The top 10 projects will be revealed September 15-24, the latter date dovetailing the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Foundation National BBQ competition and fundraiser.

Molin Concrete is having two outings, some of them will be very big. "Our first BBQ will be for all our employees to come see the new plant in operation on Sept. 11.  The second BBQ is for our customers on Sept. 24 to which we will be inviting over 4000 individuals," says John Saccoman.

While some parties are taking a celebratory spin, others have really upped the fundraising game by adding special events. At the Gate Precast plant in Monroeville, AL, attendees can enter a blind taste test for $1 or purchase raffle tickets to win a Yeti cooler.

Currently, the following plants have registered their events:

  • Sept. 2 Gate Monroeville

  • Sept.11 Molin (1st of 2)

  • Sept.18 Gate Winchester

  • Sept.19 Gate Ashland City

  • Sept. 24 Gate Hillsboro

  • Sept. 24 Gage Brothers

  • Sept. 24 Molin (2nd of 2)

  • Sept. 25 Kerkstra

  • Sept. 26 Gate Oxford
