Plant tours were of special importance and interest to BYU students.
One of the highlights of the Brigham Young University studio was that both semesters included three plant visits in three different classes to both of our industry partners (CE 424 Reinforced Concrete Design class visiting Olympus Precast and CE 525 Bridge Design visiting Contech Engineered Solutions during Fall 2023 semester, and CE 594R Prestressed Concrete Design class visiting Contech Engineered Solutions during the Winter 2023 semester). In addition to these, experiential learning opportunities in precast for students included attendance and participation in the 2023 PCI Convention, guest speakers, and hands-on projects.
