Annual PCIF Barbecue Competition Has A Winner - To Be Announced This Week at PCI Convention

Gate Precast Jacksonville, Florida Raises More Than $21,000 To Support the PCI Foundation’s Mission To Educate About Precast Concrete


CHICAGO, February 29, 2020 --- The results are in and Gate Precast Jacksonville, Florida is the winner of the 2019 National Barbecue Competition sponsored by the PCI Foundation. The announcement of who won will be made at the Annual PCI Convention to be held March 4 – 7, in Fort Worth.


This annual competition is a fundraiser for the educational mission of the Chicago-based PCI Foundation working with top universities across the United States to teach students in architecture, engineering and construction management about precast concrete.

The national competition is open to any precast concrete industry producer or vendor and in 2019 there were entries from across the country.


“This is an event we look forward to every year said Dean Gwin,(pictured) president and COO of the Gate Precast Company, who kicked off the BBQ event with a welcome and thanks for the Jacksonville team’s contributions to educating the next generation of precast concrete workers. Gwin then opened the BBQ buffet line to more than 240 employees and friends in attendance.
