Team Tindall snares People's Choice Award

About 150 attendees gathered to see 6 student teams compete for the Project Precast award during the 2022 Precast Show and PCI Convention. This year, giving a nod to the Kansas City location, the teams designed FEMA tornado shelters for Daniel Young Elementary, a K-5 school.

Team Metromont, led by mentor Suzanne Aultman and aided by –Metromont employees Megan Comen, Matthew Cooper, Gary Lentz, Corbin Martin, Bryce Martin, Chris Pastorius, and Clayton Putnam was this year's winning team, taking home $3000 for their design and construction plan for the FEMA shelter and multi-purpose room.

Team Tindall, led by mentor Mike Milkovitz, and aided by Tindall employees Donavon Burns, Taylor Nunamaker, and Jake Weaver, won the audience vote for the People's Choice award and took home the $1500 prize.

For the first time, the jury also awarded an honorable mention to a team. Team Wells received $100 each for their outstanding presentation.
